Hello Dr,

My wife had a baby 5 weeks back and unfortunately yesterday we had sex, and realised in middle that it may cause pregnancy again. Please help me
my wife is breast feeding baby totally and in night we give one time topup of 60ml except that totally breast feeding. is still chance of pregnancy?

Also i never ejaculate in her might be chance of my precum came in contact and really worried that she will be pregnant and we dont want to as still she need to recover pls help

my precum came in contact with her vulva not inserted into vagina please give me you suggestion what i need to do pls pls

Already after 4 weeks of the delivery, a woman can get pregnant again, even if she is breast feeding and has not had a normal period yet. Therefore it is recommended that they take the progesterone only oral contraceptive whilst breast feeding. In your case, there is a chance, even though low. If you had sex within the last 72 hours, she could take the morning after pill, levonelle, which can be bought over the counter from a pharmacist or you could get a prescription from your doctor. This will not affect brest feeding, but in order to be successfull, it should be taken as soon as possible. The other alternative would be for your wife to go to your nearest family planning clinic and get an emergency coil.
