again from costa rica

this is my 2 post my 1st was from costa rica about a risky episode and 2 hiv1. & 2 test first at 28 second 56 days both negative but I read the first post of theforum and got worried because I had anal sex without protection with unknown person and I don't know if I have to wait 12weeks because the kind of risk I took, it was my 1st time anal unprotected sex. Please waiting for your answer

You have certainly put yourself at considerable risk. The risk of receptive anal sex is estimated at 3% from a single encounter, and the only test that would be conclusive at those periods of time would be the Duo. The ones you had, I believe they are tha antibody tests for HV1 and HIV2, and they are not fully conclusive until after 12 weeks. However the fact that you have had those 2 consecutive negative tests is highly reassuring and a good sign, that you will hopefully be ok. In the future, please, always use condoms when having anal sex and do not put yourself at risk.
