I visited a trans-sexual ladyboy last week and we did much kissing and mutual masturbation to orgasm. We also did some oral with condoms on both of us. We didnt do any anal. Am I at any risk of an STD and should I get tested ??
Any sexual contact may carry a risk of STD transmission and so you need to be mindful of that.
Penetrative sex with either vaginal or anal penetration without a condom may cause the spread of HIV. You did not have unprotected penetrative sex so this is not a risk for you.
You did however have unprotected oral sex and so this presents a potential risk of an STD such as syphilis, gonorrhoea or chlamydia for example.
Thanks for your response. All the oral was with condoms - the only unprotected was the kissing and mutual masturbation. Does the latter count as 'unprotected sex' ??
Yes, you are right - I did misread that part. I can see reading it again and also with the benefit of you pointing it out that you did have oral sex with condoms = protected.
Kissing does potentially carry a risk of STD transfer - eg syphilis/ herpes may be spread this way.
Mutual masturbation - if solo and not involving touching the other persons genitals is a zero risk activity. If you are masturbating each other and touching each other and your own genitals then there may be a potential hazard there of an STD being spread. Examples we have seen include gonorrhoea, syphilis and herpes.
Final question: "If you are masturbating each other and touching each other and your own genitals then there may be a potential hazard there of an STD being spread." Would that include HIV?
I believe that my colleague Dr Sean Cummings was very clear with his replies. He did not mention HIV and that is because it did not involve any risk of HIV infection and therefore there is no need to be tested for it.
Best wishes,
