Default closure after oral

Hi Doctor Sean/Jose

Am looking for some closure/advice, here goes,

Several months ago I gave oral to a guy who later told me he was HIV , theres was no ejaculation

28days after the event i came down with some sort of bug?, feverish, weak, felt sick, slight sore throat.
At day 35 I took a duo test =negative. Given the fact I was ill the week before would that have been enought time for the duo to pick up antbodies or p24? I assume that if a person was positive there would be a period where the body produces antibodies. Would a week enought?
Is that test reliable? has anybody tested neg a 35days from a duo and later gone oon to test pos?

At 13 weeks I had 2 rapid tests 3 days apart both negative, Can i consider this conclusive, are they totally reliable?
I also tested negative for syphils and gonharia

The reason I ask all this is because i stil feel a bit ill, my GP thinks am suffering with anxiety

Hello there,
Thank you so much for your post.
Relax! I would agree with your GP; I also would think that a lot of your symptoms are reated to anxiety.
You are definitley HIV negative. All your test results are fully conclusive and you need to forget about it and move on. In any case, you did not put yourself at any significant risk of HIV infection in the first place.
Best wishes,
José

As mentioned, they are conclusive at those time periods. The Duo test with the p24 antigen is 99.98% reliable after 4 weeks and the antibody test is 99.98% after 8 weeks and 99.99% after 12 weeks.
Best wishes,
José
