Default cut finger and vaginal fluid

Dear Dr,

Im looking for advice over testing.

3 weeks ago i met a CSW who gave me unprotected handjob whilst i fingered her. I had a 24 hour old cut on the thumb of the hand i was using, and although i'm pretty sure my thumb didnt make contact my mind is making me worry that it did.

The cut was about 4mm long and 3mm wide, basically a scoop of skin (not very deep, it bled at the time and formed a scan, but the problem is i think the scab had a crack in it).

I asked the CSW about her status, who said -ve for HIV and STD's.

2 weeks later i got a very slight runny nose (for about a day and a half) and a very mild sore throat (didnt hurt to swallow, no redness) my cervical lymph nodes were perhaps enlarged but not by very much at all.

This made me worry about ARS, although i understand from reading your site and others that there are no documented cases from fingering, that i may not have even had fluid exposure etc etc, but i am still worried.

Is this worth worrying about? and testing?

Thank you very much for your time

Hello,
Thank you so much for your post and welcome to our forum.
My advice to you is not to worry as this would not involve any risk of HIV infection. As you mention, there has been no case documented of anyone becoming infected through vaginal fingering regardless of the presence of a cut.
Therefore no need to worry, no need to be tested. Your symptoms seem to be far too mild to have anyhting to do with ARS.
You need to forget it and move on. No need to worry, honestly!
Best wishes,
José
