Before christmas i got very drunk & went to a massage parlour I had protected sex & performed unprotected oral on the prostitute. On day 26 after the visit I came to your clinic & was tested for STD's & had the duo HIV test, all neg. I saw Jose he was fantastic, the clinic as a whole is great. At some point after the sex I developed slightly swollen glands on my neck, they still havent gone away. I went to the doctors they sent me for blood tests for Glandular fever, & some other tests. So far they have come back neg I think there are still a couple of results to come. So my 1st question is should i be concerned about the glands in regards to STD's?
About a week ago again I was out celebrating & drank far to much, I visited the parlour again. This time I had protected sex & she used a sex toy on me. The toy was in a pouch next to the bed & seemed clean, no obvious fluid on it. I'm not sure if she put a condom on it or not. She didnt use it on her self. The next day I noticed blood in my anus when I was cleaning.
2nd question what should I be concerned about here? I am planning to come in for a duo test again, but I have to wait until the 28th so what ever info I can get in the mean will really help.
Before these 2 incidents I have never done anything like this before, i'm in a happy relationship & really ashamed of myself. I havent had sex with my girlfriend since. Should i refrain until i have my tests?
Hello,
Thank you very much for your post and your very kind comments.
From the point of view of HIV or any other blood borne viral infection, there is no need for you to be concerned at all whatosever as none of the sexual practice performed would have involved that risk. The initial test results that you had with me were final and fully conclusive. I assume that we took a throat swab to exclude an STD in the oral cavity, as these can cause enlarged lymph nodes in the neck. If this is the case and the result was negative, we can definitely exclude that possibility. Regarding your second encounter with the sex toy, no need to be concerned about HIV either. However it is possible to contract infections like anal Chlamydia and/or Gonorrhoea, and that might be the only test that you require in the form of an anal swab. Having said all that, I think that it is highly unlikely that you have contracted anyhting.
Best wishes,
José
