Default DUO test accuracy

Hi Docs,

When you state the DUO test is 99.86% accurate at 28 days is this 99.86% accurate at detecting antigen that is there or 99.86% accurate of determining your HIV status i.e antigen will have developed by then?

It may sound a silly question but I had a low risk encounter with a female and have been tested (DUO) just hours before the 28 day mark. I'm just trying to gain confidence in the negative result I got.

Thank you, Joe

Hello, Joe!
Those accuracy figures refer to the Duo test as a whole for both, antibody and antigen. A few hours would not change the reliability, therefore it can be considered conclusive.
Best wishes,
Jose
