Like certain people, I did the mistake to go to a massage parlour and I was given unprotected oral sex... maybe 5 minutes
The women didn't present any lesion on her body neither on her lips.
I didn't have any lesion neither, perhaps a small irritation on the glans caused by this too optimistic women but afterwards, I didn't see anything.
I have to admit that I am very concerned with HIV and Hep B. To clarify the situation regarding STIs, I thought about doing a Full Sexual Health Screen.
Would it be worth it at 5 weeks?
About the Hep B, would a 5-week result be conclusive or not?
You'll know from reading other posts that we are keen to encourage people to have regular testing if they have multiple sexual partners or if they have sex with sex workers.
The chances though of you contracting anything such as HIV or hepatitis from an unprotected blow job are remote in the extreme.
It would be worth testing routinely for chlamydia and gonorrhoea and you may at the same time wish to test for the others just for good measure. Five weeks is a sufficient interval for hepatitis B.
Blood test results can be obtained on the same day, usually after 4 hours. The other tests, including urine and swabs, would take up to 48 hours.
Best wishes,
José
So, to sum up, doing the full test is just for reassuring purposes (HIV and Hep B)? Medically, there would be a risk only if blood had been seen?
Also, regarding the herpes, I read that the incubation period is between few days to 3 weeks; so if there no sign of it during the month following the exposure, one can conclude there is no herpes?

Exactly

There is no real risk when receiving oral sex as you would need to have large amounts of blood streaming out of the mouth

However absence of symptoms does not necessarily exclude herpes infection, but it is reassuring
I have to admit that I am extremely worried even if there's no real risk...I have never experienced such a fear, it's hard to live with. So I'll do the tests at 5 weeks to hopefully put my mind at rest and forget about all of this story.
I'm writing again because I am worrying about HBV since I've been told by a doctor that saliva can be infectious if the person has been recently infected. Is that true? What about the duration of that?
Since I've learned that I'm really freaking out... Anyway I'll sort that out this week end by doing a test..
The amount of Hepatitis B in saliva is negligible and unlikely to infect and it would require an open access into the blood stream. I honestly do not believe that you need to worry at all about it.
Best wisehs,
José
