Greetings doctor In nov. I had multiple unprotected encounters with A female. I also used her toothbrush 1 morning thinking it was mine. She is unknown status and from what I have learned about her she has been with a lot of people. So I ended this relationship and became concerned over stds. especially HIV. I started developing fatigue an diarrhea at four weeks after last encounter. At six weeks I still have the original symptoms plus I developed some joint pain, muscle aches and right abdominal pain the comes and goes through out the day. It is usually located under the bottom couple ribs, sometimes comes a little higher under the ribs. Had a cat scan done and it came back normal and my gaul bladder is removed last year. From what I read online this has me concerned over hbv and hcv. I had the following tests At the time listed after last encounter all neg.
Chlamydia/ gon. 4wks
Herpes4wks
HIV rapid 2,4,6,8wks
Hbv antigen 10 wks
HCV at 9 and 11 wks after the toothbrush use.
Syphilis 7 wks
Reason i am on here seeking advice is because i do not have insurance so its cery pricey to go to doctors. My questions are Do you feel all these tests are conclusive at this time? Could the symptoms I have be hbv HIV or HCV and just not have shown on antibody test yet? I read that some places say 12 weeks for hep testing others say 6 months would my timeframe be ok with the negative result? Also being I have been under constant anxiety since November can that cause joint and muscle aches I experience? Also Doctoe could you plead tell me if the abdominal pain was due to hep c would it come and go like that or would I feel it constantly until it resolved itself? Thanks for your reply doctor.

Reason i am on here seeking advice is because i do not have insurance so its cery pricey to go to doctors. My questions are Do you feel all these tests are conclusive at this time?No - not all of them. The chlamydia and gonorrhoea testing is good at 4 weeks. The hepatitis B antigen is good at 10 weeks. The syphilis is good at 7 weeks. You do not need to repeat these tests. You do need to consider that the HIV tests should be a third generation antibody only at 12 weeks or you can use a 4th generation HIV DUO now. The information you have supplied in terms of the HIV tests is insuffucient to make a determination. The HCV is probably good - although you can improve on the accuracy by doing it at 12 weeks or by combining hepatitis c antigen with it Could the symptoms I have be hbv HIV or HCV and just not have shown on antibody test yet? possible but very unlikely I read that some places say 12 weeks for hep testing others say 6 months12 weeks with a 3rd generation hepatitis C test would my timeframe be ok with the negative result? Also being I have been under constant anxiety since November can that cause joint and muscle aches I experience?yes indeed Also Doctoe could you plead tell me if the abdominal pain was due to hep c would it come and go like that or would I feel it constantly until it resolved itself?well - unlikely you have hepatitis c - but your tests so far are inadequate to be certain - you need to repeat as described above Thanks for your reply doctor.
