Firstly, great forum & fantastic clinic, I recommend it (not that I tell people i have visited!).
As per most of the posts I am worried about HIV, hopefully unnecessarily.
All in all I have had 5 experiences that I am uncomfortable with.
Experience 1 - Before Xmas I had protected vaginal & performed unprotected oral on a female sex worker. 26 days after I had a neg 28 day duo result.
Experience 2 - At the end of Jan, same as above with some anal play on me thrown in for good measure! 30 days after I had a neg 28 day test.
Experience 3 - 6 weeks ago again had protected vaginal sex & performed unprotected vaginal oral & anal oral on her & she performed anal play on me. No tests.
Experience 4 - 2 weeks after the above I had anal play on me only. No test
Experience 5 - 1 week ago as above.
Since all of these experiences I have had a cold (which was very snotty) & in the last week i have had an increase in the amount of times I go for number 2's & they are loose. I have been taking my temp on a regular basis, never over 37. Could these be any kind of symptoms or is it paranoia?
Please can you recommend which tests I should take? I would like to take a HIV test to be on the safe side, when do you think I should take the test?
Finally at the time of all this, I was living with my girlfriend (not having any sexual intercourse at all & surprisingly not living with her now!). She had a very snotty cold, no real sore throat or temp. Could I have passed anything onto her in any other way than sex?

excellent - unprotected oral on a female = exceptionally low risk - negative DUO at 26 = certainty that you are not HIV positive at that point from that episode

Please can you recommend which tests I should take? I would like to take a HIV test to be on the safe side, when do you think I should take the test?well my take on this would be that you need to have a complete sexual health screen including swabs/samples from throat/anus/penis and also blood for syphilis, hiv and hep b. These are unlikely contaminants but it will help set the benchmark for you. You then need to evaluate whether your activity is worth the emotional aggro for you. I would suggest a conclusive testing interval of 28 days after the last event.

If I book in, in 3 weeks time, ie 4 weeks after my last exposure, it will be 10 weeks & 7 weeks after my 2 unchecked previous exposures. Which HIV test will be used in this situation?
