infection from outside the body - significant risk?
Hello,
Can you please advise me about an encounter I had today as I'm already starting to worry about it.
I'm a gay man and always practice safe sex. Today I met a guy in a gay sauna for the first time for sex although there was NO penetration as we did not have anal or oral sex. All we did was masturbate each other for quite a while. When the other guy came some of his cum landed on my glans at the bottom around the rim. I am not circumcised and realised soon after this guy came that I had a friction sore all along the rim of my glans where the cum landed. I could not see any obvious signs of blood to suggest that there were any cuts but I guess they could have been microscopic cuts and the area is sore. I'm now very worried that if this guy is HIV positive then the virus could have entered my body through the friction sore.
How easy is it to get HIV in this way and should I consider PEP treatment as the possible exposure only happened today?
