At around mid-May, I was involved in mutual masturbation with a transgendered person. the only activity was mutual masturbation.i was worried that 'she' may have got some pre-cum onto my penis and specifically urethra: I did not see any pre-cum, but I guess that cannot always be seen.
I spoke to both Dr Sean and Dr Jose over the phone: your advice was that there is no HIV risk, and the same advice was given to me at my local GUM clinic. I was tested for STDs (incl HIV) there one week after exposure, and all was negative - though I know the HIV test would not mean much at that moment.
Notiwthstanding, I am still worried...I have had protected vaginal sex with my gf since (I don't think there were any instances of unprotected oral sex).
Since a couple of days, she has had a low grade fever (a little less than 38 Celsius), sore throat and neck pain...I am worried it is the ARS, although I know you have repeated stated that such symptoms are also the symptoms of many more common viral infections.
In short, her "illness" has re-triggered my worry and anxiety, and I need your advice again.
Hello,
Thank you very much for your post.
I reiterate: there was no risk at all of HIV infection from that particular sexual encounter. And in any case, how on earth could you have infected your girlfriend if you always practice safe sex with her.
She is just having a simple common viral illness; I am sure that it is not the first time and it will nto be the last.
Relax and move on!!
Best wishes,
José
