i had protective oral sex with a guy i noticed when the condom was on me cause it felt really tight when i went the toilet to dispose of the condom i noticed some bits of blood coming from the tip of my penis, im not sure if the condom caused this because of the base of the shaft of my penis (where the condom was tight there was like a small bruise), but this went after i took the condom off.
my question is would there be any risk from HIV from this incident,??
Also i note on your site you say there is NO risk from receiving oral sex, but would would happen- if i received oral sex from a guy in the future -? and i had bits of blood coming from my penis again what this be a risk for HIV ?
im not sure what caused this bleeding is this normal? or should i keep an eye on it?
hello,
Thank you very much for your post and welcome to our forum. Apologies for not having replied soponer.
From the point of view of this sexual encounter, I can assure you that there was no risk at all of HIV infection. I say this because you were receiving oral sex and you were also wearing a condom. The bleeding might have been caused by a rather rough blowjob and it is most likely to be traumatic. I would think that that is the most liklely cause; the lining of th head of the penis can bleed or bruise easily. If this ever happens again and you are not wearing a condom would not put you at an increased risk of HIV infection either. If anything, the risk would be the other way around for the person performing the oral sex and the blood went into his mouth (in the event of you being positive, which is obviously not the case!), but even so, the risk would be very, very low.
No need to worry, relax and make sure that next time you receive a blow job, the guy performing it is a bit more gentle...
Best wishes,
José
"If this ever happens again and you are not wearing a condom would not put you at an increased risk of HIV infection either. If anything, the risk would be the other way around for the person performing the oral sex and the blood went into his mouth" so are you saying the receiving oral sex unprotected is 100% safe from HIV in this scenario?
i always worry about receiving oral sex without a condom that's why i always use one, would like to receive oral sex without a condom but worry about HIV risk, so i received without there is NO risk WHATSOEVER even if i bled a Little like the other day.
Yes, it is safe. Let me put it this way: after many years working in this filed, I have never heard or come across anybody becoming infected this way.
Kind regards,
José
I think that my answer was pretty clear!
As mentioned, receiving oral sex would not involve risk of HIV infection, even if you have a bleeding cut on your penis; saliva does not carry the virus, in fact it kills it!!
Best,
José
