Firstly many thanks for a very useful and informative site.
Secondly and obviously the point in my writing today; I'm a male and recently visited a female escort and have since been worried about the risks to me following the activities indulged.
To summarise I received prolonged oral sex without protection. I do not/did not have any cuts, scratches or sores on my penis. I also indulged in penetrative vaginal intercourse whilst using a condom.
Obviously I appreciate that an escort is within what is considered to be a 'high risk' group - this is why I am now concerned mainly about the fact that I received oral sex without protection. Although I have no symptoms as such what are the risks that I have caught something?
Hi, there!
Receiving oral sex without protection would involve risk of contracting some STDs such as Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea or even syphilis. There is no real risk of contracting HIV or Hep B.; therefore you do not need testing for these.
You might need a urine test and a swab to exclude the most common STDs, as mentioned above, as well as a blood test after 28 days for syphilis. Some of these infections do not cause any symptoms, therefore, if you wanted to be sure, you ought to be tested.
Best wishes,
Jose
