About 6 or so months ago I went out on a works do and ended up going back to this girls house.
I stupidly performed oral sex on her for a wile. We didn't have sex cos she was on, which I found out after performing oral on her. She had a tampon in. I've not had any real symptoms until now over 6 months later. Im going out of my mind. My glands hurt all over neck groin etc. Had a sore throat for about 3 weeks with redness at the back aching muscles and joints, plus my eyes seem to be very cloudy all the time. What are the chances of contracting HIV/STD from this encounter. I haven't really given it a second thought until now when my sore throat didn't go away. I no since this point it's all I've thought about and nothing else. Really hope u can help.

Thank you for your post.
There is no real significant risk of HIV infection at all whatsoever from performing oral sex on a woman, even if she had her period at the time. You would need to have gallons of vaginal fluid and/or blood inside of your mouth, without any saliva in it, and very poor oral hygiene. To be honest, I have never come across anyone becoming infected through performing cunninglingus. And all this is even assuming that she was positive, which you do not know. Anyhow your symptoms are far too late after the encounter as no symptoms of HIV sero-conversion would happen after six months.
It is possible though to contract throat Chlamydia or Gonorrhoea this way, as well as Syphilis and even Herpes.
