Default PCR test

Dear Sirs,

I had an unprotected oral sex relationship on the 24 of december 2010 with a girl that let's say that I am not sure if she is clean or not . On the second day , I had some pain in my penis especially when urinating , i went to a specialist and done some urine test who came normal . After around 2 weeks , the pain was reduced by around 90% however i undertook another urine test and a chlamydia test (as advised by my doctor) and all results were noraml again.

However , staring 13 of January , I started feeling some pain in my legs (joint) , pain in my stomach (diarreha for 2 days) , pain in my eyes , soaring at nights and an unjustified fatigue which are all signs of HIV , I was terrified from the idea so I went to another clinic and advised to do an HIV test , this was on the 19th of January i.e. after 25/26 days from the unprotected oral sex . I have done a duo test which results came in the second day negative , I have done also an RAN PCR test which results came after 2/3 days as normal (not detectable) . However , I am still experiencing a lot of pain in my muscles (hands, neck and legs) + small fever from time to time which i am still afraid that are related to HIV symptoms and the tests undertaken were incorrect or false.

Please can you advise on the accuracy of the tests , I have done some research and noticed a window period , I am still witnessing soaring at nights and scared to death .....

Default HIV PCR test

Hello

You haven't described exactly the oral episoide - ie did she suck you or did you perform oral sex on her? Or both?

Either way, the chances of acquiring HIV through oral sex are extremely remote - being sucked poses no risk of HIV - but it may transmit other organisms such as chlamydia etc.

Your HIV DUO test was perfectly adequate - especially given the circumstances. The HIV PCR test was also very staisfactory.

Both the HIV tests were negative - you are HIV negative. Whatever is cuasing the symptoms you describe it is not HIV.

Best wishes, Sean

Smile PCR test

Dear Sir,

Thank you very much for your reply , yes she performed oral sex on me and I ejaculated in her mouth , however what is disturbing me is the pain in my muscles (hands, legs , neck ) that is still since 10 days ago ; as you advised , the 2 tests were normal and this should be enough . Again thank you fot your time , I appreciate it.
