Thank you to both Dr's on this forum as I can safely say the last four weeks have been some of the scariest of my entire life. With that said, I would like to get some clarity on my situation, as despite some of my testing, my symptoms remain and i am in search of some mental peace of mind.
Four weeks ago, I visited a massage parlor and during this visit, the girl gave me six seconds of unprotected oral sex. She essentially went up and down on my penis twice. I asked to stop and told her was not interested in oral sex from her. I did not notice any blood in her mouth, and to the best of my knowledge did not have any open cuts on penis (althought I am told even the smallest one carries risk for HIV Transmission)
That said, since that point, I have had the following symptoms that are truly taking my anxiety levels to all time highs:
12 Days after exposure: Diahrrea that persisted for the next ten days or so.
16 days after exposure: very small rash on my buttocks, about two inches in length and looked like a series of bug bites. The rash lasted for approximately 3-4 days, never spread to any other portion of my body and I have been religiously checkinhg my body since that point. They were raised and healed with scabs. Small scar is the only signs left from the rash.
Over the last two weeks I have been checking my temperature, and in doing so have had a normal temperature, with the exception of two times having a mid day temp of 99.1. I have never had anything higher than 97.4 - 97.8 in the AM when i first wake up. I do not have a sore throat, but am experiencing some pretty significant dry mouth (my thought is this the anxiety).
On day 20 I had the Labcorp PCR DNA Early detection HIV test done, in conjunction with the antibody test and the results of which came back both negative.
My questions are as follows:
What is the HIV risk from this 6 second blowjob? Is there any risk?
Would you consider my negative PCR test done at day 20 enough evidence that I do not have HIV? Is further testing required in your opinion?
I am sending this again, because I am having trouble processing the payment internationally, I appologize in advance for the multiple emails.
Hello,
Thank you very much for your post and welcome to our forum.
First of all I would like to reassure you. Receiving an unprotected blow job does not involve any risk of HIV infection. Therefore you have not put yourself at risk, even in the case of the other person being positive. Bearing this in mind, you did not even need to be tested. Also looking at symptoms is not reliable and totally irrelevant. I say this because symptoms are non-specific and are more likely to be symptoms of other conditions, much more common than HIV. Rather than symptoms, one has to assess the risk and in your case there was none.
I will answer all of your questions here below:
What is the HIV risk from this 6 second blowjob? Is there any risk? Zero. No risk at all.
Would you consider my negative PCR test done at day 20 enough evidence that I do not have HIV? Is further testing required in your opinion? Yes, even though it is irrelevant as there was no risk in the first place. No need of having any further tests.
