I had protected vaginal sex with a female sex worker on Monday night. I have booked to come and have a ten day test at your clinic. I am so worried about HIV. I also received unprotected oral sex.
Hello Will,
Thank you very much for your post.
If you had protected vaginal intercourse, there is no risk of HIV and therefore you do not even need to be tested. Receiving oral sex does not involve a HIV risk either. However there are other STDs that one can contract this way: Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea, NSU, Herpes and even Syphilis. These are the kind of things that you need to get tested for.
I would not advice you to get the PCR RNA Multiplex at 10 days as this is not necessary in your case.
Best wishes,
José
