Default still worried mum

Hi Dr Sean, thankyou very much for replying to my question about htlv. I know you have lots of questions to answer and are very busy, but please could you maybe explain why I dont need to be worried about htlv? How many people in the uk actually have this disease? Is it mainly people who have been to countries where this disease is more common? Also, would I be able to have a test for this at any clinics? I know you are tested for it if you give blood, but I cannot do this until my baby is nine months old and that is still six months away and I really dont want to be worried about this until then. I really appreciate any help, thankyou very much.

Default htlv

Hello again, please have a look at the HPA site here where there is lots of information on the very few cases of HTLV we see in the UK year on year.

best regards, Sean
