Hi Dr's,
I had a Multiplex test done middle of last year via TDL. I was checking my test results and noted the test was done at a referral lab number 934. It says on the TDL website this is a place called Genoid in Hungary. Would this be correct? There website seems to suggest specialisms in HPV testing. Plus, would the testing samples be okay after travelling such a distance. Finally, do you know if the samples are pooled when tested?
Hello,
Thank you for your post.
Most laboratories, including TDL, work in cooperation internationally. I believe many of their tests are performed abroad and I think that the Multiplex PCR is done in Hungary but I am not sure exactly where. It is a highly sensitive test and there is no problem at all with transportation. I think the samples are initially pooled. However for any furhter technical information on this particular test, I would suggest that you contact TDL directly.
Best wishes,
José
