Default testing query

Hi,

Have had the following tests

week 2 - chly, gon, hiv
week 10 - hiv duo, hep b & C antibody and syph
week 12 - hiv (gum clinic so ? not duo test) hep b & C antibody and syph
week 16 - hiv - rapid test (don't know which type) hep b & c and syph

all negative - however still have extreme fatigue, muscle pain, adbomenal problems, weight loss (lost 5kg from 82kg) generalised itch esp torso with small spots over body

My question is do all these tests rule out std or are further tests required?
Could they have missed obscure strain of something?
Are they too early to be conclusive?

Concern is initial contact was in southern spain, although girl english who works as a lapdancer. However a lot of African girls there working as prostitues and worried about "crossover" from these girls to client to her etc

Hello,

Thank you for your post.

No, the tests you have had rule out the STD's you have been tested for absolutely certainly.

I know there is lots of chitter chatter about new strains/resistant strains etc etc but its all irrelevant. You are not affected by any of the diseases you have tested for.

Very best, Sean

Hi Sean,

thanks for quick reply
that seems reassuring
Howevre my concerns are still -
My symptoms
Ready your website only hiv test I would have confidence is duo at 10 weeks. Think rapid test would be the cheapest one available and would question whether this covers everything hiv 1 & hiv2. and perhaps gum cliniic at 12 weeks not duo and too early
Hep B & C tests only antibody test - too early to detect? Read on your website about rna/pcr test better
Hope you can clarify
many thanks
