Default Very worried

Hi doctors,

I had a drunken night on saturday with a girl I met in a bar we did not have full sex but I performed oral sex on her and she performed oral sex on me, I did not ejaculate and it was only for a minute or so, we were pretty drunk so wasn't the most productive evening. Anyway I am worried about being exposed to HIV through either of the oral sex actions. I did not have any open sores in my mouth as far as I can tell and and there was no blood or anything on my penis. Still very worried though, pretty good at getting myself worked up about these type of health issues. I also fingered her with small scratches on my fingers from nail biting, I understand this has no risk however? Thanks in advance for any help you can give

Hello,
Thank you for your post.
From the point of HIV infection, you did not put yourself under any significant risk. None of the sexual practices described would pose any real risk of HIV infection. Therefore there is no need for you to be concerned and a test is not required.
Best wishes,
José

Thanks Dr Jose, much appreciated. From my understanding, please correct if I am wrong, but even if there was any blood present in her mouth during a blow job this would still not pose risk as saliva would not hold the virus efficiently enough? I'm pretty sure there wasn't but being quite drunk I can't be sure. How about potential exposure to other STDs from those encounters? Thanks again

Exactly. There is no risk of HIV infection. From receiving oral sex, there is obviosuly other risks such as Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea, herpes, NSU, etc.
Kind regards,
José
