Worried and having ARS symptoms. Expert advice needed
Hi all,
I had sex with an unknown HIV status female on 1st April 11. Heres what happened. She put a condom on me and we started having sex. Then stupid me decided to be adventurous by taking my penis with the used condom on, with her vagina fluids and putting it in her mouth for a BJ. After a few minutes she then complained the taste was bad and removed the 1st condom, then wiped her mouth with tissue. She then put another condom on, but she opened it from the tip and pushed it onto my penis. She then did me on Oral with the 2nd condom on.
My concern is when she was wiping her mouth with the tissue, the HIV virus could have been on her finger nails or part of her fingers and I be contacted the way she put the 2nd condom on. After 4 weeks I started having ARS symptoms. I consulted a STD specialist, A 4th Gen Rapid test was done at 33 days (4 weeks 5 days) from exposure. Result came out Negative. The next day, I visited the clinic, A PCR RNA test was done at 34 days (4 weeks 6 days) as I was afraid and wanted treatment asap. Result came out Negative. I was in pain and having all these ARS symptoms, I decided to do a full STD body checkup on 13th May. Result came out I had Herpes-1. I never had Herpes, Sores or anything like that before. So for sure I can guarantee I got Herpes from this encounter.
On the 50th day, (7 weeks 1 day) did a 4th Gen Rapid test. Result came out Negative. It is really assuring. But I am weighing out the possibilities
My main concern now, is the HIV results conclusive as I have gotten Herpes-1 from this encounter? I believe it could be possible to be infected with HIV and Herpes-1 during the same encounter.
Will having Herpes and HIV on the same encounter affect the HIV antibody testing reliability?
I have a number of ARS symtpoms, which could be related to any other disease other than HIV. I am mentally preparing myself for the worse.. But the results are all Negative. And Based on ARS symptoms, it cannot determine it is HIV and the only way to tell is from testing.
I realised how fragile life can be and just 1 mistake can change a person's life. I'm trying to be strong and don't want to disappoint my family. I have told my gf and she has been really supportive, and I really wish to be myself again.
Thanks for the replies and hopefully a Dr can advise me on this. I be more than willing to make a donation but i'm tied up now due to my medical problems.
I probably be going for testing at 9, 11, 13 weeks.

Good Morning and thank you for your post
You are not HIV positive.
I've repeated your question beneath so I can go through the various parts of this rather long question.
""I had sex with an unknown HIV status female on 1st April 11. Heres what happened. She put a condom on me and we started having sex. Then stupid me decided to be adventurous by taking my penis with the used condom on, with her vagina fluids and putting it in her mouth for a BJ. I consulted a STD specialist, A 4th Gen Rapid test was done at 33 days (4 weeks 5 days) from exposure. Result came out Negative.you are HIV negative then The next day, I visited the clinic, A PCR RNA test was done at 34 days (4 weeks 6 days) as I was afraid and wanted treatment asap. Result came out Negative. confirms the original test result I was in pain and having all these ARS symptoms, no you were not having ARS sym[ptoms - you were allowing your imagination to run wild - you cannot have ARS symptoms without HIV - you don't have HIVI decided to do a full STD body checkup on 13th May. Result came out I had Herpes-1. I never had Herpes, Sores or anything like that before. So for sure I can guarantee I got Herpes from this encounter.not to put too fine a point on it but that is absolute rubbish - over 70% of the UK, European, North American population have herpes 1 - with or without previous cold sore outbreaks - resulting from innocent and mild infection from childhood - this is completely irrelevant to the episode you are constructing your doomsday scenario around. I simply do not believe that you acquired herpes 1 from this event - all thats happened is that someone has done a test and you now have it confirmed you are like the rest of us - me included - with herpes 1
On the 50th day, (7 weeks 1 day) did a 4th Gen Rapid test. Result came out Negative. It is really assuring. But I am weighing out the possibilitiesthere are none aside from you being HIV negative
My main concern now, is the HIV results conclusive as I have gotten Herpes-1 from this encounter? I believe it could be possible to be infected with HIV and Herpes-1 during the same encounter.dealt with this above - you are not HIV positive and your herpes has arisen from a previous distant and mild infection
Will having Herpes and HIV on the same encounter affect the HIV antibody testing reliability?
no - but not relevant anyway as you 1) do not have HIV and 2) your herpes is almost certainly old and unrelated

What are my chances?your chances of having HIV? - none at all - the HIV tests have established without any doubt that you do not have HIV - no chance whatever
I wouldn't be too troubled if the symptoms were common. My sore throat has been with me for more than a month and a somewhat blocked nose. And I'm having some neuropathy disorders as well. I be going to see a Neuro specialist later.
I really don't understand whats wrong with me.
After this encounter, I had a slight fever, alittle flu with blocked nose, a bad sore throat till now, chills in my head, numbness in my hands with red blotches. I realized even my nail color changed to be darker. And I had a really bad headache, and some feeling on my left side. Which in my whole life never experienced before and a few occasions diarrhea. Even raised lesions which i've never had in my life. On my hand and now my hip. Its not itchy but very painful like an pimple.
I'm not making this up, even my specialist wants me to see a psychiatrist.
I don't want to doubt the results but i'm really not well. And not sure whats wrong with me.
