I would like your opinion on the following things.
I'm a male living in The Netherlands. On 30 October I invited a call-girl to my house. During the undressing she broke her fingernail. At that time I didn't pay attention to it.
Later on she put that finger in my mouth. She also rubbed the top of my penis. She also put a finger in my anus. After a while I went to the sink and spit and there was her blood in my saliva. We didnt have any intercourse. I asked her which finger she used and she said it wasnt the finger that was bleeding.
After 2 weeks I went to the doctor for testing for STD's (gonorroe, trichomonas and chlamydia). The result was negative. At that time I also had burning armpits, maybe this is because I keep on pressing and feeling if my lymph-nodes were enlarged.
The thing I am really worried about is I am at risk for HIV.
After 30 days and 11 hours I went for a HIV-testing and syphilis. The results were good. The test that was performed had the name '
In the 6th week I developed muscle pain in my arms. Maybe cos of anxiety or cos all I do is lay in bed since this incident. I don't believe I had a fever since the incident.
Here in The Netherlands they said this test was not reliable at this time-period. I got the impression that they meant it didn't mean anything. They said the time should be 3 months between the exposure and the test.
My questions are these.
1)From the experience I just described is it possible to have gotten HIV?
2)Is the test that was performed the so called 'Duo-test'?
3)How accurate is the test at the point in time I went for the test?
4)Do I need testing again at 3 months time?
5)Should I be worried or are the results indeed that I haven't gotten HIV and can I move on? I cant get it out if my mind.
Thank you for your time.
I just saw how I can start a new tread. Please delete my fromer one.

My questions are these.
1)From the experience I just described is it possible to have gotten HIV?Not in my or published experience
2)Is the test that was performed the so called 'Duo-test'?now how am I going to know that if you don't yourself? The best thing to do is to ask the doctor/lab. If it was a DUO test then you can relax
3)How accurate is the test at the point in time I went for the test?I don't know what test you had so I can't answer that question
4)Do I need testing again at 3 months time?if you had an HIV DUO or equivalent at 28 days or more then you can rely on the result. If you had a third generation test then AT 6 WEEKS this will be more than 99% accurate. There are no reliable data available for earlier periods.
5)Should I be worried or are the results indeed that I haven't gotten HIV and can I move on? I cant get it out if my mind.I don't think what you have described sounds remotely risky. I say that because 1) she is unlikely to be HIV positive (though of course she may be) 2) even if she were HIV positive, whilst I understand the concept of visible blood is disturbing I think it low risk 3) you need to have a proper dialogue with who ever does the test. If they don't know what test it is then find a clinic which does.
Thank you for your time.
best wishes, Sean

Yes, this sounds like the HIV DUO - or an equivalent HIV 4TH generation test and I would be absolutely certain that in a country like the Netherlands or indeed any Western European country that the test would be absolutely fine and accurate. So in your case you had your test at the correct time interval. I am sure you are fine.
