Default Acne on my back

Top of the Morning to ya! My facts are that I've had acne on my back since I was 12. I'm 46 now and its left me with occasional breakouts and lots of quite deep scars. I don't mind it too much but every now and again some bright bloody spark says whats those scars on your back. So to stop me sticking my finger right in their eye can you tell me if I can improve it. And none of your bleeding waffle - ha ha ha only kidding but I went to another clinic along he road from you and they tried to sell me all kinds of rubbish I didn't want. Cheers, mate, Babs

Default Acne on my back

Dear Babs
Firstly may I suggest that you don’t stick your fingers in any persons eye, but people should keep their comments to their selves. Scars can be quite difficult to treat but this can be done, and we would still only reduce them which will make them look less visible.

This can be done in two ways, firstly with the laser, ProFractional this will ablate columns of skin around and in the scar and cause collagen to be stimulated in that area, after one session the results comes slowly but are satisfactory. You will need 2-4 sessions. cost will depend on how may scars there are but will be from £250 per session.

The second way is with the dermaroller this works by breaking down the scar, the roller has tiny needles which release the scar tissue under the skin, you can almost see the difference after one session, but then the scar may reattach its self so again a course of 4 - 6 session are needed, results are good but will take 6 - 7months to see the real benefit of the treatment. the cost is £400 per session.

Hope this helps

Kind Regards Lee
