Default Sciton Profractional for acne scarring

Hi there,

I wondered if you could tell me more about the effectiveness of the Sciton profractional laser for acne scarring. I am female, in my early 20s, and 3 months ago I travelled abroad to have the latest co2 fractional laser - this was done on a high setting and did work very well, although I was warned that I might need two. I have now fully recovered, but I still have lighter acne scarring left, together with a few scarred pores and ice pick scars. Although I think that I would benefit from a second treatment, I am not very enthusiastic about having to travel so far once again.

I was pleased to see that the "after" photos of patients on this site (and on the Sciton profractional site) indeed resemble the good results of the fractional co2 laser, and I am therefore very keen to have the profractional laser this summer.

I would like to know how many treatments, on average, that patients with lighter acne scars usually need in your experience? Or is the pro-fractional usually a one-off or two time maxmimum treatment? I presume that the cost would be around 1450 for a full face based on the price range given on this site. I would probably prefer an intense one-off treatment if possible - I don't mind any associated downtime.

Also, is there pin-point bleeding associated with the Sciton, and are there any anaesthetics (topical, oral or nerve block) needed for the treatment? I saw a video of this treatment done on "intense" settings on youtube, and there seemed quite a lot of bleeding as similar to the co2 that I had. I would really appreciate if if you could tell me how this laser differs to the fractional co2 so I can get an idea of the nature of the treatment - and whether I'd be required to perform regular wound cleaning at home afterwards.

I'm sorry for all of the questions but thanks very much in advance for your help!
