Blood test - HIV

Hi doctor,

Iam very worried. please ans my query. Iam male 29 from Japan.

In month of May 2008 , I had unprotected oral sex from massage worker. I dont rem I had any unprotected sex for last 1 year or so. I had HIV test in Feb 2008 and then again in july 2008 which is around 40 days of exposure ( oral sex without condom). test was negative and doc said its 99% accurate after 1 month. he said if i want to recheck then come again after 90 days that is already passed. I have fear in my mind and i have no courage to go for test again. I always have pain in throat, arm pits and groin area. I just had normal check up in Oct 2008 which tested my blood n urine for liver, kidney, urine infection, diabetes and all is ok but WBC count is high which is 10-20 (/hpf). Doc said may be i have infection which i got during sex but i never had unprotected sex. iam very worried. please help

Hello. I'm not sure what you're worried about exactly but I think HIV? From what you have told me you do not have HIV so you should relax about that. I think you are fine and HIV negative. It is important though that you go back to the doctor to find out about the high white cell count in your urine. Best wishes, Séan
