I tested at one of Sydney's STD Clinic at 6 weeks (43 days) and got a negative, i believe that the test was the 4th gen. The doc told me that the results are conclusive at 6 weeks and that they will not retest anyone with a negative after 6 weeks.
I am still having doubts because of the 3 month window period!!! plz tell me if my test is really conclusive and that i can move on!!!
Oh thank God! You are like a beacon of light in a dark dark world! Your doctor is correct and you do not need to test again. Thank goodness that someone somewhere is giving sensible advice - you've brightened my day.
The three month business is ultra-conservative and not relevant with todays modern tests. Certainly a 4th (or even a 3rd) generation HIV test at 6 weeks will give greater than 99% accuracy. In any event, cunninlingus is a terribly low risk activity.
