Exclamation Need Advice...Please

2 weeks ago i had a protected sex with sex worker of about 2 mins and gentle kissing involved. After that i verified the condoms did not fail. Some of my friends said that escorts mostly infected. So it made me crazy and now i feeling mild fever.

After 21 days mark i went for the below and got my results. Please advice.

HIV-1 RNA, QA, RT PCR - Result: Negative
HIV Anitbody, HIV - 1/2, EIA with Reflex to Western Blot -
Result - NON REACTIVE - Negative

1. Can I move on without any fear of infection?
2. Do I need to take test after 8 or 12 weeks?

Please advice.

Hello,
Thank you for your post.
The fact that you had protected sexual intercourse (which is safe) and the condom remained in place and intact would not have put you at risk of HIV infection. Therefore there was no need to get tested at all whatsoever, and this is regrdless of the lady's status. Here are your answers:
1. Can I move on without any fear of infection? Yes
2. Do I need to take test after 8 or 12 weeks? No

Best wishes,
José

I believe that the two tests combined together would have a reliability of possibly over 99.9%
Regards,
Jose
