Question Please answer my question (really worried) .. please

Thank You in advance for answering my question, and hopefully giving me peace of mind. (Please, Please answer).

2 days ago I had prostate screening (where the practitioner finger goes through rectal deeply). I noticed that the practitioner used only one glove with a little amount of lubricant. After he finished, he wiped the area with some tissues, I noticed that he used tissues that placed near the window but not a new tissues!! Moreover, after he finished he was looked to the glove and his finger several times (I’m not sure was that because the glove teared or for something else!). I noticed a small cut (not bleeding) on the same finger he used.
• I don’t know about his status !

My questions (please)>>
1- Am I at any risk of getting HIV in case that the glove teared ?? He inserted his finger very deeply one time and there was a small cut but not bleeding??
2- Do I need to get a Post Exposure Prophylaxis??
3- Am I at any risk of any other blood borne viruses, as he didn’t use a new tissues ??

Please, I need your answers ASAP. Please.

Default Please answer my question (really worried) .. please

Hello

Most of your worries seem to be around you adding two and two together and getting 29.

I can't actually see any real basis for your worries apart from your fear.

You asked

1- Am I at any risk of getting HIV in case that the glove teared ?? He inserted his finger very deeply one time and there was a small cut but not bleeding??no - I think is nightmare fantasy - you are not at risk
2- Do I need to get a Post Exposure Prophylaxis??no
3- Am I at any risk of any other blood borne viruses, as he didn’t use a new tissues ??no - blood borne viruses are not spread by dry inanimate objects.

best regards, Sean

Thank you Dr. Sean for your response,

1- in case there were some drops of blood around his cut (I may didn't notice) with the teared glove, Am I still not under any risk of HIV transmission??

2- is deep anal fingering with a small cut considered as a risk of HIV transmission?

3- in such case, do you think HIV test should be taken?

Please, I'm confusing and I really need your answers (Please). Thank You in advance.

Default please answer my questions

Hello again

1- in case there were some drops of blood around his cut (I may didn't notice) with the teared glove, Am I still not under any risk of HIV transmission??no - you seem to have imagined the entire tearing glove thing - even if he was HIV positive I still have difficulty with the torn glove scenario and then to add blood leaking out of the torn glove seems to me to be unrealistic.

2- is deep anal fingering with a small cut considered as a risk of HIV transmission?no - besides again - there is no evidence for this - just your fearful imagination

3- in such case, do you think HIV test should be taken?again, No

best wishes, Sean
