Default Retro virus of HIV

hello doctors. if 2 or 3 different strains or subtypes merged together to create a retro virus and someone was to be unfortunate enough to be infected by it would an antibody test in a UK gum clinic be able to detect this ? or would the test miss the infection as its a load of strains mixed together? thank you in advance

Default Retrovirus

HIV is a retrovirus. The tests available will detect all currently known strains/types. Best wishes, Séan
