almost 4 mounth ago I had protected sex with a street-worker woman. I tried to be carefull, don´t touch her with my hands in area of vagina, just have a sex with finish inside. After this, I checked the condom and was fine. I would like to ask if there is any chance to be a risk of HIV, if I put down my condom and after 1 hour later I masturbate with my hands without previous cleaning.
After 12 weeks of this risk incident I had a strong sore-throat (duration about 5 days), but without fever or higher temperature. Till this moment I still fell unwell, meaning tiredness, sore of my leg but without fever or laxation, or another main sympthomps of HIV possitivity.
Hello, there!
No risk whatsoever. You used a condom and that is safe. If you masturbated one hour later, that would not be risky at all either.
12 weeks after possible infection would be too late for someone to have HIV seroconversion symptoms; therefore your symptoms have nothing to do with this event or with HIV. Most likely to have been a viral sore throa.
Best wishes,
Jose
Hi, I know you mentioned that 12 weeks would be too late to develop early symptoms of HIV, so what is the cut off point..I think the incident i'm worried about occured roughly 8 weeks before I developed flu..I'm not sure if it was conicidence, that I was ill after this time or if there is more to it.. it only lasted a few days, if the flu was hiv related, how long do symptoms usually last?? thanks..
Acute HIV seroconversion symptoms start approximately between 2 to 6 weeks after infection, lasting less than 10 days. 90% of people would always develop a high fever with a generalised rash (all over body, especially trunk), sore throat and palpable lymph nodes in neck, armpits and groins. This is not what you describe, so please do not worry.
Best wishes,
Jose
