Hi, I had sex with an African prostitute some time ago. I was at first not that worried since a condom was used which did not break or slip and I got reassuring answers from the moderators at this forum. However now 4 weeks later I got 6-7 really small dots on my chest and 1-2 on my back. Most of them is around 0,5 mm and completely red (like someone would have made a small wound with a needle and completely homogenous in color) One of them is perhaps 1 mm. I tried to photograph them but it was not possible to get a descent image of them because of their tiny size.
I do now that you say that if a condom is used its safe sex as long as it doesn't break. but apart from that could these dots be a sign an acute reaction ? Are the dots in the rash ever that small and have the appearance that I have described ? I don't have a fever or any other symptom but I am still very worried about this.
You're right of course - a condom in place which stays on, doesn't slip or break or tear is an ideal condom and will protect you against HIV. I do not believe there is a threat to you here at all.
I don't know what the dots are but I am certain they are not HIV related. I understand why you're thinking what you're thinking but I don't accept it as reasonable. I don't believe you have HIV from the event described.
Why don't you have an HIV test to reassure yourself?
