5 days ago I received a hand job from a Chineese worker in the Middle East. I did not have vaginal, anal or oral intercourse with her. My worries are because, that all of a sudden she spit in her hand and for a moment she used her saliva for lubrication. I am in a relationship with a woman and I am worried sick that I have maybe picked up HIV or some other sort of STD that I could possibly pass over to her.
Can you tell me what kind of STDīs I could possibly have got in touch with and what kind of action I should take? Is it possible to get HIV, Hep C or Herpes from an experience like this? And what about the bacterial infections like Chlamydia and all these diseases. I did meet my doctor here in the Middle East the day after and he gave me antibiotics ZITHROMAX 250MG and said it would prevent all the bacterial infections. Is that true?
Can you take HIV DUO test 16 days post possible exposure? According to your website the HIV DOU test will measure the appearance of the p24 antigen 10 days after infection and peak at 16 days. Isnīt it then a good indication if you would get a negative result from the DUO test after 16 days even tough it is better to take it after 28 days? I mean I assume that your body will not start to produce p24 antigen all off a sudden with out you being infected.
I think, Sir, you can relax. Realistically you will not have contracted anything at all from her saliva.
I've cut and pasted some of your other points beneath and dealt individually with them.

As above John, extremely unlikely - the stuff of irrational nightmares. I think you're fine
Can you tell me what kind of STDīs I could possibly have got in touch with and what kind of action I should take? Well therre's a long theoretical list but as I say, I just don't see it as a riskIs it possible to get HIV, Hep C or Herpes from an experience like this? No And what about the bacterial infections like Chlamydia and all these diseases.Oooooh! you're very detrmined to get yourself an STD aren't you?! I really really dont think so. I did meet my doctor here in the Middle East the day after and he gave me antibiotics ZITHROMAX 250MG and said it would prevent all the bacterial infections. Is that true?Partly - I would say zithromax 250mg x 4 all as a single dose and also cefixime 400mg as a single dose will, a bit like Domestos, kill nearly all known germs - definitely gonorrhoea, chlamydia, NSU early syphilis etc - BUT I really really don't think you have any of these.
Can you take HIV DUO test 16 days post possible exposure? you can - but it has limited use at that point. We do see lots of people with very early onset HIV with a full range of symptoms such as high fever, extremely sore throat and a whole body maculopapular rash in which case the HIV DUO will relaibly diagnose from around 12 days or so.If as in your case, you have no symptoms at all and you are simply looking to rule it out then an HIV DUO test at 28 days will be excellent - BUT again - I'm certain you wont have it so you don't need the test.According to your website the HIV DOU test will measure the appearance of the p24 antigen 10 days after infection and peak at 16 days. Am I understanding you correctly? I can be sure that I did not contracted anything from this experience and I do not have to take any HIV test? Basically I can have sex with my partner without being worried?
Brgds,
John
P.s. This website is very clear, good and straight forward, I hope you will keep it up and running.
You're fine. You do not need to have an HIV test in respect of this incident. I can't tell you whether you should or shouldn't have sex with your partner but certainly there is absolutely no risk of HIV this way.
