Apologies in advance for the length of the question. I posted a few months ago about my 2 yr+ sore throat and tiny grey spot on the tip of my penis the day after unprotected vaginal sex (the first time I've ever been silly enough not to use protection in my life - I can scarely believe I've had so much worry from 5 minutes of madness!)
I was very impressed with Dr Jose's answer and your website and I certainly wouldn't go anywhere else for advice, it's just a shame I live 300 miles away!
I still have the world's longest lasting sore throat/redness at back of mouth/white tongue/rough feeling roof of mouth and excessive mucos and the grey spot on my penis. My uvula has been very red for well over 2 years now and I can make out some grey spots on it.
I can see some more of these very tiny penis spots too although one is definitely bigger than the other, the one that's been there since the day after sex. Since I've been touching the spot more I've noticed a hard white unburstable spot under the surface of the skin on my index finger and thumb since March. Since last week I also have a tiny wart on my other index finger from touching the spot. This wart has now turned into a sore shiny red area where the top surface of the skin has eroded.
This made me think of genital warts - could the wart on my finger have spread from the grey spot on my penis? The GUM clinic doctor merely the thought the spot was part of my skin but it clearly wasn't there before the unprotected sex. I have tried to take a pic of the spot(s) next to the tip of my penis (grey-ish in colour close up) and also the redness around the tip:
I would say that the spot is more pronounced when the penis is erect and I can also see a similar spot above the original one and more recently there are similar spots to the right hand side of the tip as well.
I have noticed that my urine is very dark first thing in the morning and was wondering about hepatitis but the GUM clinic ruled this out and did not think I need to be tested.
The only thing the GUM clinic diagnosed me with was NSU and this was never cured. I think I can see a very tiny dark spot inside my uretha - again could this be a genital wart?
If there is a genital wart inside my uretha is it possible to remove it and cure my NSU? The tablet I was given at the GUM clinic to cure the NSU had no effect. Is it also possible to remove the wart next to the tip?
I also have redness at the tip of my penis although this didn't occur until about 6 months after the initial incident and has stayed constant since occuring. The tip of my penis has been sore to the touch since then too and I find during sex (protected) that I cannot last long - again could this be because of the NSU or does this not effect that side of things? I feel as though the tip of my penis would be too sore for unprotected vaginal sex or unprotected oral.
I've tried to research genital warts and it seems as though they usually take at least 2 weeks (sometimes months!) to come through yet this grey spot occured literally hours after the unprotected sex. Does this rule out it being a genital wart?
If it is a genital wart could it cause the white hard spot/small wart on my fingers? I also have a tiny white spot inside my left eye lid (I wear contacts) but my optician thinks this a normal swelling and nothing to worry about, my vision in that eye does feel a bit blurred though. Is it possible I am spreading the wart to my finger then my eye? I originally thought I may have herpes whitlows on my finger but am now wondering if genital warts have caused the sore finger.
I'm told I have gingivitis in some of my gums which I thought may also point to herpes, (although I didn't have oral sex).
I've been to my GUM clinic 4 times over the last 2 yrs about the same incident and they think my penis is normal and the sore throat not related to the incident.
I'd greatly appreciate your opinion on the spot on my penis if you can make it out - the spot that is! I have read that the HPV that causes genital warts usually clears from the system of healthy people eventually so do I need to seek any medical attention?
I can't really go to my GUM clinic for a fifth time about the same incident, they will test me again and I'll come up all clear on their tests except for NSU and they say this nothing to worry about! Unfortunately I am 300 miles away from yourselves, do you think my GP would be able to tell me if the grey spot is a genital wart?
Many thanks again and sorry for such a long message.

You'll be reassured that I can certainly see your penis, although I'm afraid it actually looks perfectly normal to me ( and I've seen a lot of penises)
Also, your throat, from what I can see looks perfectly normal.
I don't think there's anything wrong apart from you "penis gazing". Put it away and stop fiddling and looking at it.
I really don't believe there is anything amiss here. If you do want us to test you then we can do that remotely by sending out a kit for you to collect urine in and return. This will comprehensively rule out a whole range of things. I'm not keen to do that because I think you're fine, but you've just gone off on a worrisome journey regarding STD's from what sounds an innocent encounter.
Many thanks for the reply Sean. I am glad I made you laugh with the 'making out my penis' comment! It is all too easy to get a bit paranoid after an unprotected encounter, especially as so many STDs don't even seem to produce any symptoms. It reminds me of the Victor Meldrew scene when reading a medical encyclopedia - "this disease doesn't have any symptoms whatsoever.....I don't believe it, that's exactly what I've got!"
Seriously though, as before I am extremely grateful and impressed by your advice. I totally appreciate that I probably sound paranoid after one encounter but I have been worried about the persistent NSU - the GUM clinic said I had a puss level of 10 on both occasions but at the time I didn't think about the possibility of a wart inside the urethra causing the NSU.
I know I must sound a bit of a worrier but I'm sure I can see a grey/black spot inside the tip of my urethra which I thought could be a genital wart. Even if it is a wart though am I right in saying it will eventually disappear?
I was also beginning to think that the little bumps/spots around the tip could be genital warts too or possibly herpes but I am very reassured that you think it all looks normal. As I say the spot I noticed came about literally within hours of the encounter and I gather it normally takes a minimum of a month for a wart to appear after infection. I guess the spots on my fingers aren't anything to worry about either.
I am reassured that you think my throat looks normal, I was sometimes worrying about some sort of warts on my uvula but I'm probably being paranoid! I think I'm pretty safe in saying that no STDs cause a sore throat for so long.
My urine seems a dark, almost orange colour in the morning but I suppose even talking about a test for hepatitis sounds a bit paranoid from a one off moment of madness! I know life is too short to be worrying about these things but once a seed of doubt is planted over something like the NSU it plays on my mind a bit!
Many thanks again, I can't thank you enough for the sound advice.
