Dr. Séan CummingsMBBS, DRCOG, DFFP, LLM, MRCGP
Séan qualified in 1986 at University College London. He has very wide experience working in Paediatrics; Obstetrics and gynaecology; Accident Emergency Medicine and General Medicine. He became a GP in 1990. He set up Freedomhealth in 1997 as a small private practice. It has grown exponentially since. Séan’s main interests are in Sexual Health and also careful reconstructive aesthetics for patients with facial wasting due to disease such as HIV or cancers. With over 20 years of experience in medicine he is convinced that a very personal approach is the key to a good doctor-patient relationship.(Email Dr. Séan Cummings)
Lee GarrettRN BSc
Lee has been working at Freedomhealth since 2002, initially in the capacity of Aesthetician, having previously worked within the hair and beauty industry for 14 years where he acquired his aesthetic eye. Whilst working at Freedomhealth, Lee has successfully completed a degree in Adult Nursing and is now fully qualified as an Aesthetic Nurse. Lee sits on the Steering Committee for the Aesthetic Nurses Forum, which is part of Royal College of Nursing. Lee is also a UK moderator for Sciton Laser Technology and is involved in Educational Road shows for Q-Med, makers of Restylane products. Lee specialises in all aspects of laser aesthetics, (e.g. acne scarring, facial rejuvenation, pro factional treatments and microlaser peels) dermal fillers and facial reconstructing, anti winkle treatments, chemical peels and is very passionate about the latest technology in Aesthetic Medicine.(Email Lee Garrett)
Dr. Mark A WinwoodD.Psych, MSc, BA(Hons), C.Psychol, C.Sci, AFBPsS
Mark qualified as a psychologist in 1990 and has worked in a number of different settings. He specialised in health and HIV for over 10 years at St Marys Hospital and the Royal Free Hospital. More recently he has worked in the private sector as the Clinical Director for Psychological Health for a leading private medical insurer developing bespoke psychological health interventions for large organisations.
He received hi s Doctorate in Counselling Psychology in 2004 from the University of Essex and Tavistock Clinic. He was awarded a Masters Degree in Psychology from The University of Reading, Chartered as a Psychologist with the British Psychological Society in 1995, is a Chartered Scientist and also an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society. He is accredited by the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Practitioner Psychologist.
Mark has training and experience in delivering therapy for a wide range of conditions using an integrative approach to tailor the most appropriate treatment for each person. The range of therapies utilised include Cognitive Behavioural (CBT), Systemic Family and Couples Therapy, Solution Focused and Humanistic. As a psychologist he also utilises evidence based therapeutic techniques to maximise potential benefit.
Most importantly Mark works on building a strong therapeutic relationship with his clients to develop trust and effective working alliance – this starts in the first assessment session and builds through any subsequent treatment.
Mark has 20 years experience dealing with a broad range of issues including: Anxiety, Depression, Stress, Sexual Health, Medical Conditions, HIV, Work Problems, Sexuality, Trauma, Abuse, Self-esteem, Loss and Bereavement.
Dr. Pixie McKenna
Pixie hails from Cork in Ireland where she attended medical school, graduating in 1995. She followed in her fathers footsteps into General Practice completing her GP training at Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge 1999.She holds post graduate qualifications in general practice, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, and dermatology. For the past decade she has worked exclusively in private general practice both with individual clients and large corporate organisations. Dr Pixie is probably best know for her role as on screen doctor in Channel 4s prime time BAFTA winning medical series Embarrassing Bodies, first aired in 2006. She is also a regular contributor to print media with features in BEST and ZEST magazines and the Irish Daily mail. She hosts a weekly “air your ailments” slot on Ireland’s today FM and is regularly featured as a talking head for health promotion campaigns. Pixie published her first book, The Handbag Doctor in 2010. As a doctor she marries her clinical and communications skills together to make her the “go to girl” if you are after an empathic, unflappable, straightforward GP.
Marie is a registered nurse who works alongside Lee Garret to deliver high quality medical aesthetic treatments. She has been offering these services since the early nineties and so has a wealth of experience.
Her aim is to provide a tailor made treatment journey for every patient and she is known for providing a naturally enhanced look. She is also committed to ongoing education, research and development in this area and actively participates in medical conferences, advisory boards and evaluating new products.
She is also a member of The British Association of Cosmetic Nurses.
